Specifications for Engraving Success:

bullet

Preference is to engrave a flat surface as the “business end” of the Laser is focused to within 1/8” zone of thickness.  Our engraving bed is 12” x 18” by 4” deep.

bullet

Cylinders larger than 3/4” but smaller than 4” can be engraved along the flat axis by type size from 1/4” up to 1/2”.

bullet

Materials such as anodized aluminum, glass. laserable plastics, wood and acrylics are good candidates for engraving.

bullet

Commemorative documents, good quality, strong contrast photos and line art create brilliant engraved products.  Darker areas burn deeper than lighter areas to create a carved surface.

bullet

Type faces used in engraving can be any of the Microsoft Publisher or True Type fonts.

bullet

Before we commit the laser to the product, we ask for final customer image approval.
